The secret to lower scores? Fall in love with the grind, not just the glory
Our Story: A Father & Son Journey
SEVENTEENtoZEROGolf is more than a name; it's the story of a shared passion between a father and son. It represents the challenges, the triumphs, and the priceless time spent together on a journey to achieve a dream. This is the blueprint we created, and it's our mission to help you build your own success story. Thank you for being part of our journey. Let’s make yours unforgettable too.
My name is Atul Agnihotri, and I am from New Jersey, USA. My golf journey has been a passion ever since I picked up the game. Golf is more than just a game to me, it’s a lifelong pursuit. What fascinates me most is that no matter how much you learn, there’s always room to grow. Every round teaches you something new, and that’s what makes golf so special.
In 2024, I made a life-changing decision to take a break from my career to focus on helping my son achieve his golfing goals. Together, we embarked on an incredible journey to transform his game. Through dedication, hard work, and a lot of trial and error, he successfully lowered his handicap from 17 to scratch (0) in just two seasons.
It was an unforgettable experience, the time we spent together at the range, practice areas, and during practice rounds, as well as walking alongside him in many golf tournaments, has been absolutely priceless. Golf has brought both of us immense joy, and I know it can do the same for you.
Along the way, I realized that the lessons we learned—both on and off the course—could help others achieve their golfing dreams too. That’s why I created SEVENTEENtoZEROGolf.
The name SEVENTEENtoZEROGolf holds a special place in our hearts. It represents the journey, the challenges, and the triumphs we experienced together. It’s a reminder that with the right guidance, mindset, and effort, anything is possible.
I hope this Blueprint inspires you and your loved ones to chase your golfing goals. Whether you’re looking to lower your handicap, want to play in High School, College, improve your swing, or simply fall in love with the game all over again, this can help. I follow this structured learning approach, and currently, in Jan 2025, my handicap is 0.3.
My name is Achal Agnihotri, and my journey in golf is a story of falling in love with the process.
In middle school, my dad often asked me to join him on the golf course, but I never had much interest. I tried several sports, but none truly clicked. Then one day in 7th grade, he invited me to the driving range just for fun. I hit a few balls and some actually flew. That feeling stuck with me. We went back a few more times, and slowly, I started to enjoy it.
Not long ago, I was a 17-handicap golfer, passionate about the game but still learning how to consistently put it all together. I made a promise to myself to commit fully. Over two intense seasons, that dedication paid off: I reached my goal of becoming a scratch golfer.
My dad and I documented everything we learned—the drills, the mindset, the routines—and realized we had something worth sharing. That’s how SEVENTEENtoZEROGolf was born. It’s more than a name, it’s a mindset. It’s about perseverance after a bad hole, the discipline to stick to your game plan, and the love for the game that keeps you coming back.
The last two years have been a period of incredible growth and validation. I’m proud of the milestones I’ve reached:
May 2024: Won my first HJGT tournament
May 2025: Won High School County Championship, shot -2 (100 players field)
Jun 2025: Finished T1 at HJGT tournament
Jul 2025: Finished 7th at the AJGA AM Technical Solutions Open in PA.
Jul 2025: Runner-Up (T2) at the NJPGA Mountain Classic, including a second-round 63 (-7) that set a new course record at High Bridge Hills Golf Club.
Aug 2025: Placed T15 at the AJGA Super Lychee Open in DE
Aug 2025: 5th place at the NJ State Public Links Championship
I am excited about our journey together, and I’m sure you can become a scratch golfer through hard work, determination and using this Blueprint.
